After last week’s post of a few inches of Ardenne Water, here’s the broader view of one of the many picturesque forest streams in the area. It had rained the day before, and it was cloudy when we were there. Perfect for nicely saturated autumn colors without any disturbing reflections anywhere. Of course, a polarizer is the obligatory accessory in these circumstances. Funny how I managed to keep my feet dry (Wellington boots) in the fierce waters of the streams for almost two days, but got immersed up to my groin when I put one foot in what looked like an innocent mud pool but appeared to be a deadly peat hole.
