With Monty Python making a short comeback, I think it is appropriate to quote them: and now for something completely different. I have more than enough images from the Masai Mara to fill the blog for the coming years, but variety is the spice of life, as they say. So back to my home turf it is. Since my return from paradise, I spent my mornings at my local playground. Although I find it hard to come up with new and fresh vantage points after so many visits, it is still a place I love to go to whenever the weather looks promising. Somehow, it always delivers when the light is right. Which is was not. It seems I am back in an inverse flow with wonderful sunrises and morning mist on my way to work and drizzly grey days when I have time to go out. Such was the case on the morning last week. No pre-sunrise colors, and just a very short appearance by the sun when it peeked through two clouds. Just enough for a single worthwhile shot, something I have to get used to after the serial shooting spree I experienced in Africa! With some weeks off around the Holidays, I look forward to the arrival of Old Man Winter. I am done with the leafless and frostless weeks after autumn and before winter. Let’s get on with it!
