Same sh$t, different week! Again the Friday morning was the worst of the week. The only thing those grey skies are any good for, is to take a white balance reading from. So I did not shoot anything worthwile this weekend.
To make matters worse, when I went to check on a forest feeder I had recently placed to attract birds, but also wild boar, it was stolen by some $$$hole. Not that its intrinsic value was that high, but it means that another photographic plan can be thrown into the dustbin. Why is it that some people just cannot respect other people’s belongings?
I come across lots of strange things in the forest (think remembrance signs for pets, complete office furniture, garden waste, hunting platforms), but have never felt the need to demolish or steal any of these. I might phone the ranger station to let them know about my findings, but it’s not up to me to decide what is allowed in the forest and what not. I did check with the rangers to see if they had taken the feeders, but they had no clue what I was talking about. My money is on the hunters, they’ll probably can do without any competition when it comes to ‘shooting’ boar.
Here’s an autumn shot from two weeks ago. Just a pond covered by colored birch leaves, taken with a long shutterspeed, slightly moving the camera during the exposure.
